Continuing Education Resources
Nationwide, health and human service professionals are seeking ways to better educate their personnel and colleagues about evidence-based practices for tobacco dependence treatment, prevention, and control. The University of Arizona HealthCare Partnership is pleased to offer evaluated educational resources based on the recommendations of the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence, and the USDHHS Interagency Committee on Smoking and Health’s National Action Plan for Tobacco Cessation.

Tobacco Dependence Treatment Program Speaker Manual
The HealthCare Partnership Speaker's Bureau is comprised of a select group of dynamic presenters from across the state of Arizona. Prior to attending the one-hour Speaker Orientation, participants are required to attend a Tobacco Dependence Treatment (TDT) Program and receive certification in a Basic Tobacco Intervention Skills Workshop. The Speaker Manual prepares presenters with materials and information on how to provide a TDT session. |
