Continuing Education Resources

Nationwide, health and human service professionals are seeking ways to better educate their personnel and colleagues about evidence-based practices for tobacco dependence treatment, prevention, and control. The University of Arizona HealthCare Partnership is pleased to offer evaluated educational resources based on the recommendations of the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence, and the USDHHS Interagency Committee on Smoking and Health’s National Action Plan for Tobacco Cessation.

Tobacco Treatment Specialist Instructor Certification Upon successful completion of the Tobacco Treatment Specialist program, certified individuals may attend this four-hour workshop to learn the methods and techniques to teach the Tobacco Treatment Specialist practicum and to evaluate participant performance. Participants receive multimodal educational resources to facilitate workshop instruction.
