Continuing Education Resources

Nationwide, health and human service professionals are seeking ways to better educate their personnel and colleagues about evidence-based practices for tobacco dependence treatment, prevention, and control. The University of Arizona HealthCare Partnership is pleased to offer evaluated educational resources based on the recommendations of the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence, and the USDHHS Interagency Committee on Smoking and Health’s National Action Plan for Tobacco Cessation.

Tobacco Dependence Treatment Program
for Health & Human
Service Professionals

This one- to two-hour program equips health and human service professionals with an overview specific to evidence-based practices in tobacco control, with an emphasis on early detection, intervention, and treatment of tobacco use. Presenters for this program are members of the HealthCare Partnership’s statewide Speakers’ Bureau.
